Cloud Architect – San Diego, CA

Veyo is using its platform and app-based transportation services to reinvent the medical logistics world. Our company is using technology to pioneer new operational models to help make transportation more powerful and more reliable for the healthcare industry.

We’re looking for smart, fun-loving people to join our team, and are currently in search of a Cloud Architect to join our team in sunny San Diego.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Help shape the strategy and direction of the company and an industry.
• Manage and maintain a stable, responsive, highly available cloud infrastructure.
• Provide cloud architectural guidance to the product development teams
• Troubleshoot problems in the operational infrastructure and applications, including follow-up problem resolution, root cause analysis and process improvement.
• Automate routine tasks including software deployment and configuration.
• Work with application developers to scale services up and down as required by user demand, maximizing service availability and performance.
• Initiate and perform security reviews of cloud applications.

Our ideal candidates will have some or all of the following:

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• Experience with deploying highly scalable, elastic automation solutions in a cloud environment (Azure experience preferred).
• Significant experience using configuration management software like chef, puppet, salt, etc.
• Experience with continuous integration tools (Jenkins, Teamcity).
• Experience with Git on Github or BitBucket.
• Experience with configuring web servers (Apache and IIS).
• Working knowledge in C#, .Net 3.5/4.0 and PowerShell.
• Sharp and tenacious troubleshooting skills: you can fix anything!!
