Human Resources Director – San Diego, CA

Responsibilities

  • Champion company-wide initiatives focused on aligning our talent with our strategy: performance management, employee engagement, talent acquisition, workforce planning, team development, etc.
  • As our company quickly grows and changes, work with company leaders to identify the root causes of performance issues, determine the best solutions and monitor results.
  • Find and implement winning employee systems that can connect us in multiple states as we grow. Make execution look easy and support look effortless.
  • Coach management in developing their leadership skills, growing the culture and holding their teams accountable.
  • Passionately tell our story in order to find the perfect talent who can’t wait to be part of our team.
  • Bring “THE” standard for welcoming new employees; create orientation strategies that get newbies started, excited and ready to go!
  • Build strong relationships both inside and outside Veyo to get things done across the business.
  • Create and manage HR reports/dashboards to assist in making smart business decisions.
  • Create opportunities for HR self-service and efficiency; train employees to be self- sufficient.
  • Manage open enrollment; provide information/tools so employees can make the right benefit and COBRA decisions for their situation.
  • Find out what wellness means to our employees and coordinate fun and healthy ways of engaging the team.
  • Ensure compliance with multi-state employment laws; guarantee the integrity of electronic employee files.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
  • SPHR preferred
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in a similar position
  • Experienced and comfortable with employment law
  • Genuinely enjoys working with people at all levels of an organization, across multiple departments and in various states
  • Travel up to 25% of the time
